Adventure (Update)

Update from yesterday's post. While I didn't exactly go Indiana Jones here, I had a little afternoon adventure, which was plenty for this gal. And by adventure I mean, out of the way to an independent movie house.

I had to drive a little out of the way to somewhere playing Greenberg because it wasn't in any of the big theaters near my pad, so I thought I should make an afternoon of it and put together something cute. I'm a Noah Baumbach fan, and the movie was good, so it was worth the drive, and a good opportunity to take my new fedora on a little test drive.

Black Boyfriend T-Shirt: Target
Mustard Cardigan: Target
Jeans: Old Navy
Red Pointed Toe Flats: Urban Outfitters
Colorblock Fedora: Forever 21
Belt: Plus Size Store in Main Place Mall, Santa Ana, Ca
Peacock Locket: Forever 21
Rings: Forever 21 (Set of 3)
Black Sunglasses: Forever 21

I'm head over heals for this fedora. It's so versatile, but I feel like I dressed it down, since I wore it further back on my head. Pulled forward with a less casual outfit, I think it would take on a different, sexier vibe.

This belt was a steal at $2.99! It's actually one long braided belt that is meant to be wrapped around several times, or wrapped twice and worn loosely.

I got this from one of those random plus size stores (you know the ones I'm talking about- the clothes aren't particularly well made, and it's got some kind of generic name like "Sassy Plus" or "Mrs. Plus" or "Plus Avenue") in the Main Place Mall in Santa Ana, Ca. You may be tempted to walk on by these stores, but I always pop in to do a little hunting.

Love the vintage look of this locket.

These rings came in a set of three- and I'm super bummed I can't find the third, but I think these give a tiny edge to the outfit.

The knot/bow detail on these flats is just enough to add a little interest, without distracting from an outfit.

Thanks for reading. Beijos.
