Retro Red

I've worn this look out before, the cognac jacket and a red lip, but it's been awhile since I've worn this jacket and I love it with red lipstick so much that I gave it another spin. But, I kinda fell down on the job and didn't snap any pictures before I left the house, so this post doesn't have any fully body shots (sorry!).

I had an unusually busy weekend what with the birthday party on Friday, and then the bbq and going out to a bowling alley that same night. The place we went to is a lounge/bowling alley, so I figured the retro jacket would be appropriate :)

So here are some snaps from the night, as well as a lone shot of the jacket, since it's not too clear in the pictures.

What I wore:
Skinny Jeans: Target
Black Boyfriend T-Shirt: Target
Cognac Jacket: Target
Black Flats: BC Shoes via Urban Outfitters (from my first "OOTD" post)
Gold Bow Earrings: Forever 21 (from the "Pastels" post)
Gold Ring: Forever 21 (from the "Adventure (Update)" post)

I just love this jacket. It hits me right at the waist, so it's a bit like a bomber jacket, but has a great retro vibe because of the color and collar.

I wore my hair in a messy ponytail, although it looks quite a bit messier on camera.

This is the extent of the make-up I had on. Most of what I wear normally are drugstore brands, as you can see I have Jane foundation, a NYC color pallet in Mocha, Wet'n'Wild black eyeliner and red lip liner, and Covergirl Great Lash mascara. The only exception is the Sephora brand red lipstick (No. 94).

To keep the lipstick from bleeding, I apply the lip liner to the outside of my lips, and then fill my lips in halfway- towards the center of my mouth- before applying the red lipstick over it. Always works for me!

Sorry again about not snapping some pictures before I headed out!

Thanks for reading! Beijos.
