Vintage Etsy Finds

Love, love, love me some vintage!

I constantly browse Etsy.com for, well, any and everything. Recently I've started tracking down plus size vintage dresses through all kinds of fantastic retailers who do the hard work of seeking out vintage plus duds for us retro-lovin' dames.

I stumbled upon seller I Laugh Yellow and within 1 hour had bought two of her dresses. She has a small but quality selection of vintage dresses. I was thrilled to find her store, and I like to give credit where credit is due! Here are the two dresses I picked up.

Blue Floral Sleeveless Dress

This dress is so versatile, I've dressed it up to a semi-formal school function, and I've dressed it down to run errands on a Saturday. It's all about the accessories you pair it with.

Dressed up:

Dress: Etsy
Shoes: Target
Belt: Target

Earrings: Icing (pearls, can't really see them, sorry)

Dressed down:

Black Cardigan: Target
Purse: H&M- bought in Cambridge, England

Belt: Plus size store in Main Place Mall, Santa Ana, Ca.

Ring: Forever 21
Black Glasses: Forever 21

Sandals: Claire's

Close up of accessories...

Forever 21 ring

H&M bag... is huge, fits a ton of stuff. This bag is to chap-stick as the dryer is to socks.

Flowered Geometric Dress

I also bought this flowered geometric pattern dress with a large, sharp angled collar. It was so interesting to look at, I just had to have it. I had a hard time deciding on shoes to wear with it, and I settled on black peep toe wedges. If you have suggestions for different shoes, let me know!

The pattern of this dress is pretty busy, so I kept the accessories to a minimum. I also kept this dress really casual, didn't dress it up much, but I suppose I could do a more structured hair style (rather than a messy high pony) and throw a cardigan on over this dress, with peep toe pumps.

Dress: Etsy
Belt:
Plus size store in Main Place Mall, Santa Ana, Ca. (same as above)
Black Plastic Rose Ring: Dime Store on Valencia Street in San Francisco, Ca
Purple Glasses: Forever 21
Shoes: Target

Close-ups...

This collar is serious, and I love how angular it is, so I think works best with hair pulled back. For these pictures I put my hair up in a high messy ponytail.

I got this ring at a random shop in San Francisco for a couple of bucks years ago, but I've seen them everywhere.

Forever 21 glasses... I am a sucker for huge glasses. I pair these purple ones with everything!

Thanks for reading. Beijos.
