This is an outfit I wore back in January, out to sushi on my birthday. For those of us that live in sunny locales, this outfit is a little warm for a night out at this time of year. But for others, this is still totally do-able into April and May.

Birthday Girl by strwbrryflds featuring Stuart Weitzman shoes
Items in this set:
WOOL CABAN JACKET, 510 GBP
Pearl Black Tights, Bebaroque, 50 GBP
Stuart Weitzman black suede 'Extra' peep toe pumps at Bluefly
Amazon.com: Jessica McClintock New Leaf Pleated Clutch: Clothing, $38
Return to Tiffany™Round tag charm bracelet, $225
I rarely wear my Tiffany jewelry- which consists of the tag bracelet I got for college graduation and tag earrings that I broke down and bought myself (I like to think of it as an investment- and yes, I am totally justifying this)- although I really should wear it more often. It really brings a little light classiness to an outfit.
I tend to be pretty simple as far as fashion goes. Not too many bells and whistles here, so I paired this simple Faith 21 dress with some black tights and peep toe shoes. I have a high natural waist, so I tied the dress in the front, for some accentuation. What I loved about this dress was that it can be dressed up or dressed down. It has pockets, so it can be paired with some cute flats or flat strappy sandles, with a knot tied in the back and worn out to the market.
Polish and Gloss
Two things that I must always have... nail polish and lip gloss. These two things really do make a difference.
I've got a nasty nail biting habit and keeping them polished will usually keep me from biting them. I'm glad I'm not the only one though with this little vice - Beth from Pretty in Plus has challenged herself to break her habit too. Btw, I just recently discovered Pretty in Plus, and I love her use of florals. Check her out, along with all of the other bloggers we love. These women are fantastic, and inspired me and Jude starting this blog. But I digress... nail polish is a must. My favorite brand is Essie, I love their colors and the polish is long lasting.
Lip gloss is the other must, whether it be dime-store chapstick or MAC Lipglass, which I prefer in clear. Matte or super shiny, is your call, but it's a purse and pocket staple- despite how lost they get in the depths of my oversized bags.
Well, those are my must-haves anyway. I feel like those are two little things I can always have/handle that make a difference, no matter what I've got on. Aaand, I've officially just written half an entry about nail polish and lip gloss, my 12 year old self, clutching a Seventeen Magazine and coveting Alicia Silverstone's sky blue Hard Candy polish complete with plastic ring, would be so proud.
Beijos.
